Highview on

spk_1:   1:16
are you doing today, Maddie?

spk_0:   1:18
Any good?

spk_1:   1:20
So before we get started, I did wanna just real quick ask how you're holding up under quarantine at this point in time with the social distancing rules.

spk_0:   1:31
Um, well, things have been going. Okay, um, school work isn't, um insanely difficult for me. Um, I actually I actually was able to finish early be today because I finished everything else throughout the week. So, um, I didn't have a lot of work. Um, today, Um, but, um, I so, so far, it's been going. Okay, um, there are, like, sometimes where I do have problems, but I've started getting used to it. Um now, and I'm actually doing pretty fine.

spk_1:   2:09
So how are you handling the isolation part? Not seeing your friends and stuff like that.

spk_0:   2:14
Well, it is a bit hard, but I do have some of my friends numbers. I actually just got my, um, one friends number, and we've been talking ever since. That's

spk_1:   2:24
good.

spk_0:   2:25
Good. So So you're

spk_1:   2:27
sees. That sounds like you're holding up pretty well with everything. All right? We're good. I'm glad to hear that. So today we're gonna do another set of questions here. Just some fun. Random. Get to know your type things. We are planning on rolling this session into next week's podcast. We're still trying to prep for that, so we'll see how well that goes. But today's questions We're gonna talk about food. What? Your favorite foods are that type of thing. We're gonna talk about possessions on. I don't mean demonic possessions. I mean, material possessions

spk_0:   3:03
still be pretty fun, not talk about

spk_1:   3:05
it. This probably use of the podcast for that.

spk_0:   3:08
Not know.

spk_1:   3:09
And the last thing we talk about is money. We've done, uh, you know, our financial management podcasts in the past. And I think some of stuff may touch on that, but it's just some general questions. Just toe, uh, get a feel. For what? Teens your thinking on these topics today. So ready to get into it? All right, let's do it. No. The first set of questions I have is about food. Um, what's your favorite food?

spk_0:   3:46
Okay, that's a little difficult at this point. Um, I really don't know what my favorite food is. I like a variety of foods. Um, I really don't have a favorite food. Of course I have, like, least favorite foods or just food died. I don't like to eat, but I Right now don't exactly have a favorite food that I know off.

spk_1:   4:12
OK, um well, that kind of kills that question now, doesn't it? Um, what is your favorite dessert? Do you have a favorite dessert?

spk_0:   4:22
Um ah, sort of. Um, I let

spk_1:   4:28
me something to work with here.

spk_0:   4:30
I like anything. Or chocolate and peanut butter

spk_1:   4:32
chocolate rippin apart about that peanut butter bomber that we get from Chianti. Oh,

spk_0:   4:37
yeah, that's pretty good.

spk_1:   4:38
That's a good one. Speaking of bombers, what's your favorite ice cream flavor

spk_0:   4:45
wolf? Um, I'm I think I really like the real, like the peanut butter ice cream. Like it Wonderful. Um, I promise not. Everything I love is peanut butter.

spk_1:   5:05
Okay, But you don't dislike peanut butter is what you're saying. Yeah. Okay. Fair enough. What do you usually eat for around this kind of off question, I guess at this time. But what do you usually eat for lunch at school?

spk_0:   5:20
Um, I normally eat Lunchables. I have different types of Lunchables. I usedto actually eat either Lunchables or an in crust herbal. But after the start of my braces, I realized that in Cristobal's are honestly disgusting. Since I ate them every single day and I kind of got tired of him and Lunchables, I actually haven't grown a hatred for I actually really enjoy them. And even in, like, the beginning of quarantine, and even now I'm still eating them. So that's

spk_1:   5:50
an interesting point that you bring up with your braces. I know. Way back when one of our earliest podcast was about your braces,

spk_0:   5:58
the 1st 1

spk_1:   5:59
and you had some dietary restrictions. Do you still have restrictions on what you can and can't eat with your races?

spk_0:   6:08
I mean, yeah, it's like I mean, I've learned to eat safer. Um, but there are leg, um, foods that I love like to avoid, Like Carmel's definitely want. Especially like the liquid version I've never wanted Teoh eat, um, Carmo, because I know it could be sticky. I also try to avoid baby carrots now, because my less experience with them kind of popped out my wire, so I try to avoid them now. Yeah.

spk_1:   6:39
Okay. Good enough. Um, of the three meals of the day, assuming you're not a hobbit, what is your favorite meal a day? You're breakfast person, a lunch person or dinner person.

spk_0:   6:53
I think I'm probably a lunch person. Um, breakfast. I normally just have the same thing, which, um, sometimes gets old. And I don't normally like having breakfast. I mean, I still eat breakfast. It's like, supposed to be the most important meal of the day. But I've never really had a fond ing to it unless, like, it's like a really big breakfast off or on vacation. We get breakfast. Um um and dinner. Um, I mean dinners. Okay. It's just I don't always eats a lot during dinner, and, um, that's kind of when mama drives too. Put the vegetables, and

spk_1:   7:39
that's when the healthy stuff comes out.

spk_0:   7:41
Yeah, and lunch. I actually pretty much enjoy. Um I normally like it whenever we have lunch at home. Um, lunch at, uh, lunch at home school is just the same thing. But like I said before, I really don't mind Lunchables. But like whenever we would like order food, I, um I just think I have an attachment mortar lunch than anything else.

spk_1:   8:09
OK, I'll buy that, um, so restaurants, we don't We don't really get a chance to go to restaurants right now, But when we were going to restaurants, what is your favorite restaurant?

spk_0:   8:22
Mm. That's gonna hard, um,

spk_1:   8:35
pick any of them.

spk_0:   8:37
I know. I'm trying to think

spk_1:   8:42
it's like friendlies. Did you, like who knows? Did July Chianti days? What did you like?

spk_0:   8:47
Um, well, I guess I'm sort of in between Keyon teas and Friendly's, mainly because, um, Canty's has good food, especially the bombo, but they just tend to give you a lot off.

spk_1:   9:05
Yeah, You tend to walk out with a buffet.

spk_0:   9:07
Yeah, um, and friendlies. We normally we used to go there sometimes when mommy, like, had a nail appointment, and it was just us for dinner. And I liked, like, getting the Sundays there, and, um, also having, like, the burgers and the cheese sticks and stuff. Okay? Never mind. I just realized there's another one. I really like

spk_1:   9:28
Dave and Buster's. Oh, yes, that's

spk_0:   9:31
says a good one.

spk_1:   9:33
So hopefully all this Ah, covitz stuff will be over soon, and things will start to open up when we'll be able to go out and eat again at some point. So the next question I have is kind of a philosophical one will say, if you could have an unlimited supply of any food for the rest of your life, what would it be?

spk_0:   9:59
Mm,

spk_1:   10:09
Anything.

spk_0:   10:10
Okay, um

spk_1:   10:11
Peterburg.

spk_0:   10:12
No, no, no. I don't eat peanut butter alone.

spk_1:   10:16
Okay. Okay. Well, that's good. Yeah. Sometimes you use a spoon, right? But

spk_0:   10:23
seriously, uh, I don't have that big of a peanut butter obsession anymore.

spk_1:   10:30
Okay, So what would it be?

spk_0:   10:32
Um, I'm sort of stuck between I kind of wanted to be healthy. Good. So that I don't end up dying from eating something unhealthy.

spk_1:   10:55
That the wall, if you're eating it the rest of your life, that's a very good point.

spk_0:   10:58
Yeah, Um, something healthy that I actually enjoy. I don't want it to be tomatoes, because I know they have, like, acid. And that can actually kill you if you eat too many.

spk_1:   11:11
Okay.

spk_0:   11:14
Yeah. Um,

spk_1:   11:21
do I need to play the Jeopardy theme to get an answer out of here?

spk_0:   11:24
No. Do not.

spk_1:   11:26
Come on. Give me something.

spk_0:   11:27
Oh, my God. Fine. Um, I can still just go with strawberries.

spk_1:   11:33
Okay? That was not Should have been that hard. Really?

spk_0:   11:37
I'm sorry. Okay. There's a lot of food out that that I like, and it was hard to pick a healthy one.

spk_1:   11:43
Okay, fair enough. So the last question I have in this category is what is the weirdest food you've ever eaten? Where and when did you eat it?

spk_0:   11:55
Okay, um uh, you're just food I've ever eaten and great way. Okay. I'll have to go with some type of Disney

spk_1:   12:42
food, I guess some type of Disney food,

spk_0:   12:45
because they have pretty strange food. Um, I guess so. Oh, my God. Ah, I really told

spk_1:   12:56
you at the plate again.

spk_0:   12:56
No, do not, Do not

spk_1:   13:00
OK? All right, Well, we'll we'll consider that a non answer.

spk_0:   13:04
Yeah, I really don't know. I know

spk_1:   13:07
you don't really a lot of strange food, all right? When I will let that one slide, then, um so that's all I had for the food questions. We're going to take a quick break and we'll come back with questions about possessions. For over seven years, the second CIF Empire has been the premier community guilt. The online game Star Wars. Visit us on the Web today at www dot the second sip empire dot com. So let's talk possessions So we're talking material possessions here. So where do you go shopping for clothes? Typically?

spk_0:   14:45
Um, typically, um, me and Mommy would be to go to, I guess Walmart er old navy for tipo gold close. But sometimes when we're at, like, some type of store. And we see, like, assured that I like, or something like that we would get it.

spk_1:   15:03
Okay,

spk_0:   15:04
Um, but for, like, typical jeans and normal, um, attire other than were T shirts would either go. I'm pretty sure we normally go to old navy for it. So

spk_1:   15:15
Okay. Good answer. What is your favorite hiding item of clothing, and what do you love about it?

spk_0:   15:24
But he's

spk_1:   15:26
are these. And why is that?

spk_0:   15:27
I like hoodies Just because they're like, Well, I especially like the big Cody's, because, I don't know, they feel like, really comfortable, and they're not, like, super uptight. Plus, you have, like, a hood whenever draining, and I just think they're, like, completely comfortable, and you can put them over like any regular shirts. And I also like the designs of some of them.

spk_1:   15:51
OK, so there is a comfort factor and a practicality factor there. I'll go with that. Which possession do you cherish the most and why?

spk_0:   16:04
Mm. Um, I guess I cherish the possessions on, um, I normally get from my friends because, like, um, I have, like, a bunch of different friendship bracelets from them. I even have, like a stuffed animal for my one friend and a few craft that they made for me. It's

spk_1:   16:23
very nice. So it's the sentiment behind it. More than anything.

spk_0:   16:26
Yeah, pretty much.

spk_1:   16:27
OK, that's nice. When you were young, did you have a favorite stuffed animals or toy?

spk_0:   16:34
Yep. And it's still with me to this day, and I still treasure it.

spk_1:   16:40
And when What was this?

spk_0:   16:42
This was my, um, stuffed cat. Um, she wasn't orange tabby, and there's no. And there's, like, a whole story. I actually have three of the same kind because, um, Mommy knew about, like, how she had a favorite toy and how she lost it. And she knows the Devon station behind that, and she didn't want that to happen to me. So she bought three of the same toy and she actually put them. She was one that you guys kept in the house when they, um that was kept in your car. And when those kept a mommy car and mommy's cars, so whenever, like, we would go out. And I was like, Hey, can we bring Kitty? That was the name that we use. Can we bring Kitty with us. And a mom was like, Kitty can stay home. And then it was like, Oh, my God, she's here. And then I don't. Something happened where I actually brought Kitty in from the car. And then when I saw the kitty in my room like

spk_1:   17:39
Mommy, there's two kiddies.

spk_0:   17:40
And then I ended up realizing that there was three kitties and their and their role in my room. I would bring them where whenever we went on vacation. Well, one of them I don't bring all of them, but

spk_1:   17:52
I do

spk_0:   17:53
bring one, and they're very special to me, Especially since I basically No, I don't know. I they've been with me ever since I was born,

spk_1:   18:04
So yeah, the magic of, ah, Parenthood there when we could make that happen. Yeah. Um, let's see. Do you Do you like to keep your room neat and organized, or do you like it to be messy?

spk_0:   18:20
Okay, so I guess we can go into the whole transformation story now. So before we actually started doing the podcast, I actually use my room. Actually used to be the studio. Um, and it was a complete mess. Um, I was pretty young and I never kept it clean before. And like, it was impossible for anyone besides me to navigate through it. Um,

spk_1:   18:47
yeah. Even the poor cats at a difficult time. Getting through it.

spk_0:   18:50
Yeah. Which was said I just had, like, a bunch of stuff on the floor. And then when we, like, transferred over and I moved to the boom next to this room, I ended up cleaning it up a bit more, and I actually just, like, cleaned it, um, again. And now I'm keeping it way more organized. And now, like all of us can fit in that room And, like, still have enough room for each other.

spk_1:   19:15
Yeah, and I give you total props for that. You do a very good job keeping your room clean. Mommy and Daddy don't have to bug you about of their anything. Occasionally you'll make a massacre in their building something with Legos or something. But you always clean it up, which is nice. Yeah. If you could have any car you desired. And this is a little forward thinking from last year, Last week's podcast. If you can have any car you desire, which one would you choose? or what type? It doesn't have to be a specific model, but what they Bacar? Do you see yourself driving?

spk_0:   19:47
Um, I honestly don't know.

spk_1:   19:50
Do you want, um, a minivan? Like mommy? Do you wanna cross over like, Daddy? Do you want, um, like a sedan? Do you want a sports car? What kind of car do you want to drive?

spk_0:   20:03
I think I might want to go for, like, a mini event like mommy mean that because her type of car has so many props to it. And I could just see myself sort of driving one, even though I probably wouldn't be driving around a bunch of people. I just feel as though I would be driving one of those cars. I also like that kind off. Um, my design, I guess.

spk_1:   20:29
Style well, and that's that's cool. I kind of like Mommy's cartoon. Mommy drives a Honda Odyssey. It's got a lot of bells and whistles and for ah, minivan and someone my size, it's actually fairly comfortable. And we would no comfort because we've driven to back and forth this Lord of several times with it. 16 hours. Yeah, the long drive. It's important to have a comfortable car. Yeah. The last question we have under our possessions category tonight is if you were stranded on a desert island, Which one possession would you wanna have with you?

spk_0:   21:09
Um, I guess if I had to pick one thing, it would be a lighter.

spk_1:   21:20
Are you a pyromaniac?

spk_0:   21:22
Know, so that I can have fire warmth and fire can also get food and, like, fire can also provide light. And it would be kind of hard. And I don't exactly know how to start a fire on my own. So

spk_1:   21:37
despite the fact that you tried doing what your drumsticks were playing rock band the other day,

spk_0:   21:42
it didn't work, did it?

spk_1:   21:43
Thankfully, no. Because you were in the middle of living room. Okay, that makes sense. You know, it's a survivalist type thing. Ah, and even, you know, depending on the type of lighter. Even if thea the fuel runs out, you can still use the flint on their use sparks to create a fire. So we will take a quick break and we will come back with questions about Monet. spk_0:   23:29
Okay? Yeah. Said no.

spk_1:   23:30
Yes, it's not mony mony. It is money. So my first question here is what is the last thing that you bought with your own money?

spk_0:   23:43
Um Well, technically, the last thing I bought with my own money Waas the yearbook. My school yearbook.

spk_1:   23:58
Are you paid for that with your own money?

spk_0:   24:00
Well, technically, Mommy is technically paying you with your own money, but she took it away from my from her pay from me working.

spk_1:   24:11
Okay,

spk_0:   24:12
Does that count to do have to actually go

spk_1:   24:14
are you getting that money back?

spk_0:   24:15
No, I'm not getting

spk_1:   24:16
okay. Then, technically, you paid for. Yes. OK, but that was a very complicated answer. What do you usually buy with your allowance or your pay, really? For doing chores?

spk_0:   24:31
Well, for now, until they have a practical use for it. Um, I just buy likes, like, small. Like any thing I'm really interested in, Like, toys Or like, drawling stuff.

spk_1:   24:44
Okay, so your whatever your hobby is you're not out there buying any fashionable clothes or anything like that right now or anything. Okay? Do you think it's important to save for a rainy day?

spk_0:   24:58
Yes. Ideo, um,

spk_1:   25:00
why

spk_0:   25:00
you never know when you need the money. Like there could be, like, one point where, like, um, your low unlike, I don't know, Um, some, like rent for, like, your home. And you have, like, money saved up. Like you can use that money to pay it off for, like, pay off any, like, ah, bill or, um, debt. The u O. Um,

spk_1:   25:29
Sure, that makes perfect sense. And considering the conditions we're operating under right now, I think this would qualify as a reigning David. So many people out of work because of the virus right now. And you know, there's the stimulus checks that went out there. People filing for unemployment in record numbers. But having something to fall back on to try to maintain your your standard of living, I think is very important right now. This category. If someone gave you $1000 said you had to give it to charity, which charity would you choose and why?

spk_0:   26:14
Um, I don't know, specific charities. Could you give me examples?

spk_1:   26:23
Well, would you give it to the Red Cross? Would you give it to Cancer Foundation? Would you give it to wounded warriors? Would you give it to the Salvation Army? Would you give it to units, staff, the United Nations? Children's relief. Fun like, if you know, the name of specific charity. But what would you want to? Who would you want to help with that money?

spk_0:   26:49
Um, well, I wanna wanna I know what I did. Um, I would want to help. Um, I think I would want to help. Like young kids who have cancer just because it's really hard on them and their parents. And I've heard so many stories about like I've just like I just know, um, stories about kids having cancer and how the parents feel about it. And, um, hopefully that money would help. Like to have a cure for that because we still haven't got a cure for cancer. Andi, I just want to, And I would just want to know that I'd be able to help at least one family with that.

spk_1:   27:40
Okay? And there's a lot of ways, you know, If that's the direction that you want to go, you could donate to American Cancer Foundation. You could probably easily find a family who's suffering from it and probably give direct to them. Or you could contribute. You know, specifically, if you're specifically want to help Children with cancer, you could get to the Shriners you could give to, in our case here, Children's Hospital of Philadelphia or or other organizations like that. So but that's definitely a worthy cause. And the last question that I have in this category is, ironically enough, another philosophical one. If you won the lottery, what would you do with the money?

spk_0:   28:28
Um, well, I'd probably wait a few years until I had to go to college and see how much that would cost. And hopefully the lottery money would cover it.

spk_1:   28:44
Yeah, chances are it would probably cover it and then some.

spk_0:   28:47
Yeah, Um, and I think with the money afterwards, if I was going with that route, um, I might, um, saved the I might, like, save or use the rest if it's enough to, like, hopefully get that one, like, small house or apartment building that I wanted to in the future.

spk_1:   29:08
Okay, So you want a whole apartment building yourself?

spk_0:   29:11
Well, not exactly. I just wanted an apartment room.

spk_1:   29:14
Oh, my God. That was all the questions that I had for today. Kind of a short round of questions here. Did you have any questions or anything else you wanted to add it to what we've talked about?

spk_0:   29:29
Not that I know of. No.

spk_1:   29:30
Okay, well, I think ah, we will take a quick break. We'll come back and we'll give you the floor four closing remarks and shall announce for closing remarks and shout outs.

spk_0:   29:52
I don't know what to put closing remarks today. Honestly, today was just a Q and A on three different subjects. I'm not exactly sure What say you have any ideas,

spk_1:   30:03
huh? I mean, did you wanna offer some commentary on, uh, materialism? You know,

spk_0:   30:12
um,

spk_1:   30:13
saving money whenever you want to talk about this is your time.

spk_0:   30:17
Okay, Um, I guess I can throw in something for that. Um, so if you dio find that, uh, yes. Um I just want to say it's very important to save money, especially during rainy, um, for any days. Um and it's important to be Teoh. Understand your limits. Your like financial limits when you, um when you ah, by anything that you are really enjoying. But, you know, it's going to cost a lot. So it's important to know your limits on that. I think that's it.

spk_1:   31:06
Alright. Any shot

spk_0:   31:07
up? I don't know.
