It was a dark and scary time for our country to see what was thought to be peaceful protestors supporting President Trump's claim of victory in the 2020 United States Presidential election March on the Capitol, lay siege to a joint session of congress and breach the building all for the purpose of disrupting the final stage in certifying the election.
We'll discuss what happened and the progression from protest, to riot to insurrection. We'll layout the timeline of events as we know at this moment. We'll talk about some of the crimes committed and the assault on the building itself and what led up to it.
